Dnd Chara - colour sketches
To try out colours for my dnd-chara I decided to print out the lineart on a marker paper so that I could try out to see what I'd like. I first made the blue on in top right corner, before creating the green on top left, then I went down and made the teal and gold one. The teal and gold I really liked, however that's too me and too little the character itself, so I decided against it. I then ventured into trying a darker value and went with the purple, this however felt to royal. It must also be said that I have a very limited supply of markers, so I don't have a lot to choose from. The wizard is supposedly a fey, so her colours are changing within the seasons, so hair, eyes and skin changes, but her clothes doesn't. This was another important factor for me. I then made the 2nd last one as spring, and tried layering gray and green, this made it feel a bit "nauture-ish" to me and I went with it. From spring to the last one summer, and then top two in the middle, autumn and winter. I'll make one of these traditionally on a larger paper and then make all the seasons digitally afterwards :D

DnD Chara
Some friends and I have started planing characters for a dnd campaign, and this is the first time I'll be trying out a wizard. She doesn't have a name yet, but I've decided on race and that she'll have a familiar which will be a tressym (flying cat with wings).

Inktober day 13 - Ash
Today's Inktober I struggled with, at first I thought "a phoenix rising from the ashes", "Ash from pokemon", "a vulcano with ashes all around", but all of them felt too used. I searched up some images of ashes, and came over this flower blooming among the ashes, this was the idea I went with in the end. But after finishing todays artwork, I thought about the dog my father and stepmother have, named "Ask" which is the Norwegian word for "Ash". If I were to draw something else today it would be him, seeing as he is such a lovely dog <3 Scroll down with this link to see the finished drawing

Inktober day 12 - Dragon
My favourite creature dragons! My boyfriend at once suggested "Nicol Bolas" from Magic the Gathering. But I like the other brother better, "Ugin". My twist this time, half-half with both of them, Nicol Bolas on the left and Ugin on the right. Scroll down here for the finished piece.

Inktober day 11 - Snow
Again I asked my boyfriend for inspiration, his reply was "Snow owl" - I went with the idea, but again a small twist, the snow owls from Ark - Survival evolved. I sketched 3 sketches, before settling on the first sketch. Scrol down with this link for the finished piece

Inktober day 10 - Pattern
Here I didn't want to just create a random pattern, instead I tried making a full illustration, I used the character "Tealie" as a person for this illustration. The idea behind the image was how I always used to freeze during the recess at school, but I wanted to go outside the classroom for some "fresh air" (the air in the classroom used to be so dry and dead by the end of a class). But outside in the hallway it was always cold, so I sat infront of the radiator drinking hot chocolate :3 Scroll down here to see the finsihed piece

Inktober day 8 and 9 - Frail + Swing
I skipped another day of inktober and took 2 days in one, "frail" and "swing", the idea I had was a swing that had a rather frail or used rope, but also the planks you sit at. Ended up with a mix between 1 and 2, using the branches from one and the foreground from number 2. Very satisfied with the finished drawing on this, here is a link

Inktober day 7 - Enchanted
For this theme I was inspired by one of the pets from Blizzard's shop, the little kitten Brightpaw that is carrying scrolls on its back, and the fox named Shadow. However I wanted to draw a fox inspired by the fennec fox instead. So with these things in mind I ended up with these sketches. I also wanted to add a rune and so I searched up a few, and ended up with one meaning "Safe travels" seeing as the fox travels through either void, shadow or some other kind of magic. This one was very fun to draw, to see the finished click the link

Here my first thought was "a small house built out of matches", but no I couldn't find inspiration on how to draw that, and instead I ended up thinking about "fairy houses", I found lots that were made out of mushrooms, or in trees and such. I thought about the fact that it is soon halloween, and there I found what I wanted to draw, a fairy house made by pumpkins! Beneath are some of the sketches I made.

Inktober day 4 - Freeze
As written on my instagram account the inspiration for this came from the autumn itself. During the nights and the early mornings you sometimes see the leaves get this lovely frozen effect on them, and so I wanted to do that for today's image. Inktober - Day 3 - Bait
Today's theme was "Bait" and this time I asked my boyfriend for inspiration! Lately he has played a lot of The Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening on his switch, so his first reply was "Link, fishing from the new game". I replied to him that "Yes, I could do that, but that would be very "normal". We both thought a bit more, before I looked back at some sketches I drew the other day of a Selkie. So there it was, the idea, draw Link catching a mermaid from the game instead of a fish! To the left is the innitial sketch, and to the right I tried getting the mermaid looking more like the one from in game.

Inktober - Day 2 - Mindless
Here I struggled with getting a proper idea, first I thought "staring blankly ahead", then I thought "a mindless zombie", before thinking about fish. When I was young we used to have 2 aquariums, one small and one quite large, and I loved watching the fish swim around! There was one fish that was rather special in the aquarium, that I remember very well. It was a type of catfish and it would swim and "lay down" in your hand if you put your hand down in the water! Enough about that, to the left is my first sketch, then the one in the middle, before managing to define something that I wanted! - To see the finished art look in the traditional art folder!

Tealie the dragon/elf girl
I've made a drawing or two before named "Tealie" thinking to use it as a cartoonized self, however I've never managed to properly pull it off, having drawn to "realistic". So here is another sketch for an attempt on creating that. At first I found a OC (original character) list for Inktober, being filled with different prompts about things a OC could do or wear etc. However after some thought I figured that I wanted to try this years Inktober official prompt list. I will not manage to draw something everyday this year because I'm going to focus on finishing my master, however I will try to draw at least some of the days, because I do need to take a break :D
